Readers,
Hey everyone I hope all is going good on your end. On my end, listening to some light jazz and just got to Boise State and its time to tackle my finance homework (which with work and other things didn't get completely knocked out). I was speaking with Ruth the other day and she reminded me of how much my study process this semester has changed; I would get up consistently at 4 or 5 am and tackle my material because god only knows I worked like a mad man and usually the witching hour was the only real time to do so. This semester it is a bit more difficult to do that, I work late most nights and Ruth works even later most of the time. Starting this week, I am going to set my alarm for 4 am and get up no matter what and just start a process of buckling down on this logic material (this being after my first exam kicked my ass).
Its now the first of March and I didn't write a word after the 9th, suffice to say valentines day weekend was a major success and we had a ton of fun. So glad my friend John and his wife Kellie were able to make it up to McCall with us. I never thought I'd say this but the more time I spend up there and in places like Sweet where its out in the country and a little less hustle and bustle is relaxing and I can see when we get older settling down in Mcall. Its absolutely a great environment for my muse, he speaks to be quite throughly. Maybe its the whole being out in the country where life seems to roll by a tiny bit slower. Anyways, after valentines day weekend for sure we will make it a regular valentines day escape with our friends, feels old fashioned setting a tradition in stone like that but its calm and refreshing to me. An old friend used to say, "You and I Chris, we're old souls. Born in a different time".
Outside the weather is getting a bit nicer and I am getting closer to my one year of being at Rc Willey and on top of that I finally am getting my customer service abilities down to a T which feels great. Aside from some of the public, I love where I work. Everyone is so helpful and understanding and make you feel right at home. Some jobs are just a paycheck and others its a place to go clock in and feel at home to a degree. Even in the relatively short period of time that I have been there, I already have some regulars who wait just for me to help them or stop and chat with me when I am up greeting. There is no doubt that I will be there for a good while into the future
We have a wedding photographer more or less pinned down, I've looked at their work and they're awesome and overall I like how they operate as a photographer. Its funny as a photographer myself obviously I can't pause and take our wedding photos but you also want someone whose attention to detail is high and also is all about capturing the moment. Seeing their work and hearing them speak I have no doubt they'll do an incredible job. Feels surreal planning all this stuff but as I wrote back than the wedding is practically right around the corner! Our biggest thing right now is the venue, so once we get that pinned down I will feel much better about things
Generally, we mentally planned to have our bills paid off in full by July and it feels possible and also to get moved out and start looking for a place to rent with my friend Randy. Hell it didn't feel possible before when we're talking about it mind you but it is within range, I can see it. I am scared of moving out of my parents house, but in the end I know that they're just a phone call away and we're not planning to move that far so I could always hop in the car and go visit them. But it'll be weird relying entirely on myself, the woman I love and a best best friend. I know I can without a doubt count on them both but it'll be odd not being able to walk down the hallway to just ask my dad how to do this or just pop in and say hello to my mom and lastly stop in to say hello to my grandma
This class will be over like that, so from now until the end of class I am buckling down and tuning out television shows, movies, listening to new music (I'll check out something new if I am say doing yard work but while for instance I am studying I will be listening to Jazz or Classical to keep my mind focused). I can pull out a solid great from this class and will do just that
Well that's all for now, I'll catch ya on the flipside
